Country Morning Sausage - Beyond this World

The first animal I cut from my diet was pork, so I haven’t had any traditional “sausage” style meals since I was a teenager. Country style breakfasts are also an integral part of my Virginia childhood, so as you can imagine my breakfast style has drastically changed since eliminating dairy and meat.

One day, to my delight, my boyfriend brought home the Beyond Sausage from Beyond Meat from the market for one of our weekend breakfasts (since we rarely have time on the weekdays to have a solid sit-down breakfast) as he was impressed with our beyond burgers we had been on a grilling adventure with recently. We had no idea how they would taste, and I didn’t look up any recipes or reviews online - instead I just cooked them exactly as they came, with no added herbs, spices or anything. I pan seared them and added spicy mustard to dip it  in - and to our surprise - they were…actually quite delicious. Even he, the carnivore that he is, was very pleased with the sausage. It definitely gave us that full feeling too of having eaten a big Sunday country breakfast. I would love for them to further develop the sausage line with apple sausage and such (I know they have the hot Italian, but I love a sweet/salty combo.)
